Building Success Through Long-Term Collaboration

Melissa, the owner of JERSē Meatbawls, has been a valued client since I created her first website over 4 years ago. Over time, her business evolved, leading to a recent rebrand and the need for a fresh, streamlined one-page website to showcase her meatbawl starter kit at the New York Now Summer Market.

With the event fast approaching, Melissa needed a new site quickly. After initially trying to DIY, she came to me looking for guidance. After an initial consultation, we decided on a targeted one-page website redesign. Here’s why it worked:

  • Quick Turnaround: With limited time, we focused on what was essential to get the site live.

  • Focused Messaging: A one-page layout allowed us to emphasize her core offerings without overwhelming visitors.

  • Modern, On-Brand Design: The updated look matched her rebrand while staying true to her product’s appeal.

Here's what Melissa had to say:

"The design and copy strategy call with Alethea and Emily honed in on what my brand represented. Questions about my brand personality, MY personality, who my target audience was... by the end of the conversation, I REALLY understood who they were! Their thought-provoking questions helped them create the perfect copy and website for JERSē MEATBAWLS.
I needed a quick turnaround with the NY NOW Summer Market fast approaching. I don't know how they did it, but they completed it in a short amount of time. I attended the show with confidence knowing that my website and copy were superior to any others. When Oprah's and Good Morning America's representatives asked me for my website, I felt more than confident that it represented not only my brand but who I am as a person. And many others had feedback about how elegant and gorgeous it was."

The Power of Collaboration

A key factor in making this project successful was the collaboration with my trusted copywriting partner Emily Aborn. Having clear and compelling messaging is just as important as a visually appealing design. Here’s what our partnership brought to the table:

  • Consistent Voice: We crafted copy that aligned perfectly with her brand identity.

  • SEO-Optimized Content: Strategic keyword placement boosted search visibility.

  • Clear and Effective Communication: The messaging was fine-tuned to engage her audience and drive action.

Melissa went on to say:

"Don't try to create a website yourself. Trust me, I initially thought I could DIY, and there is no comparison. In fact, I wouldn't have had the same interest had it been my old site and brand at NY Now Summer Market. I highly recommend this team because they are fun, professional, and VERY talented!"— Melissa Castner, Owner, JERSē MEATBAWLS

Adapting to Clients’ Needs on a Website Redesign

This project highlights the importance of staying flexible and pivoting when necessary. As businesses grow and change, their websites should reflect those shifts. By remaining adaptable and offering solutions that fit both goals and budgets, I help clients like Melissa stay competitive and ensure their online presence evolves alongside their business.
